As Turkey’s leading bus manufacturer, we will provide relief for public transport in Amman, which
has a population of four million, and deliver our modern, environmentally friendly vehicles this year. I hope the agreement will be beneficial for both parties and the people of Amman.” Yousef Shawarbeh, Mayor of Amman, stated that young people, the elderly and people with disabilities will travel by more comfortable, safe, secure and environmentally friendly vehicles within the scope of the major transformation the city is undergoing in energy, environment, infrastructure and public transportation, “We have ordered 100 buses in different sizes to provide better service for our citizens to help relieve the heavy traffic, which is an issue for Amman just like all big cities. With the 100 new buses we will offer to our people this year, we will have the best fleet in the region. As part of the transformation
work, the buses will feature high standards including an electronic payment system. In addition to our environmentally friendly transportation system, we will also accelerate infrastructure works and pavement improvement projects.”
