Schmitz Cargobull expands in NZ

Officially announced at the recent Transport and Heavy Equipment Expo held near Hamilton, the collaboration will see Schmitz Cargobull supply Ferroplast box bodies, while Fruehauf NZ will fit them onto its own trailer chassis and/ or customer-specified truck chassis.

According to Schmitz Cargobull Australia, the Ferroplast bodies will be specifically produced to meet New Zealand requirements.

“We are pretty happy how the partnership goes so far. From the feedback on the show in Hamilton, we see a great potential in the New Zealand market,” commented Tobias Hessing, General Manager of Schmitz Cargobull Australia.

“Together with Fruehauf NZ, Schmitz Cargobull offers a better product to New Zealand customers, completely different from what they used to have. It will definitely change their perception of the quality standards for the refrigerated trailers.”

The first joint trailers will be available at the beginning of May 2017, according to Hessing.
